Announcing ‘Apostolic Revival House’
It has been ten months since the day we got married. 25th November 2012 is when I started this beautiful and eventful journey with Virginia. This post is an attempt to take you through the major events of our life and ministry and more importantly, share with you the testimony of God’s goodness over us.
1st December 2012: Five days into our wedding, we were spending time in the presence of the Lord at the ‘Tent of Meeting’ in Bangalore where the Lord instructed me to quit my secular job and get into serving in the ministry full time.
Four months from then, I resigned from my job and on the 1st April 2013, we set out on this path laid before us. This month marks the completion of 6 months since when we took our leap of faith.
God has taken us to several cities in India and, in His mercy, used us for His glory. During this time as we were travelling extensively and practically living out of our bags, I begun asking God for further direction for our lives. There’s one thing that I have realised in the last few months is that we cannot be living meeting to meeting and conference to conference. It does not matter if you are the speaker or a delegate. Meetings and conferences are not God’s entire will for our lives, they are just a small part of the big plan He has for us.
It is at this time that God gave us a vision and assignment for our lives and as it goes for most people, we were not ready for it at all. I kept fighting it because I never thought God would ask me to do something like this. Leaving my secular job was a big enough step. But when I was in Bangalore again for some speaking assignments at a few meetings, the word that God gave us was confirmed by my mentor, Rev. Shyju Mathew.
We came back to Mumbai refreshed by the Holy Spirit with a renewed vision and joyful because of what the Lord laid on our heart. It still feels like a daunting task and believe me when I say, it is beyond us. The best part is God will never ask you to do things that you are capable of in your own strength. He will give you a task and enable you to complete it. This God I love and serve loves to show off through His willing children!
To get directly to the heart of this announcement, God has laid on our hearts to start a church in the city of Mumbai with a burning desire to see revival and a promise that God would be with us every step of the way. During our second stay in Bangalore while we were at the Generals Meet conducted by Rev. Shyju, God gave us a name for this church – Apostolic Revival House. (The website will be up in a day or two. The link will be included in this post shortly)
I shared this vision with my senior pastors at The New Life Church and they were gracious to support and encourage me to do what God had willed. I want to take this opportunity to thank Ps. Paul Quadros, Ps. Santosh Gaikwad and the whole pastoral leadership at New Life church, Kurla for praying and releasing us to the work of the Lord.
We will be having the first service of Apostolic Revival House on the 29th September 2013. I request you to remember us in your prayers that we would be able to faithfully do what the Lord has commanded. If you do not attend any church, you are welcome to join us. For further details, kindly visit our Facebook page here to be updated with regular happenings.
Finally, my prayer is that we would see a great revival and be a part of this great end time harvest of souls in Mumbai, India and the world for the Glory of our Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.
